Protect Your Home
Air Conditioner Options in Bergen County
There are several steps you’ll have to take when choosing the appropriate air conditioning system for your home. First of all, you need to understand the differences between the types of systems, as some are more powerful than others. Having a system that isn’t the right fit for your home can cause damage to the system itself, as well as cost you a lot of money in unnecessary energy bills.
Each type of system is available in a variety of sizes, so you can better match it to the specific dimensions of your home. Keep in mind, too, that bigger isn’t always better. A system that’s too big will turn on and off frequently, leading to added wear and tear on its component parts. You really want to get the sizing just right, and that’s where we come in.
Our expert staff is always on hand to answer all of your air conditioning system installation questions. We’ll guide you through the process of choosing a type and size of air conditioning system that will be perfectly suited to your needs and the layout of your home.
Ductless Split Air Conditioning Systems
The compact and versatile nature of ductless split and mini–split air conditioning systems has helped them to increase rapidly in popularity recently. They consist of an outdoor compressor unit and an indoor, wall–mounted unit that are connected to each other by a refrigerant line. Through this line, the compressor is able to provide coolant to the indoor unit, which then takes in room air, cools it and recirculates it throughout the room.
A single indoor unit can cool a large room or a couple of smaller rooms, making it a perfect option for a new home addition or for a smaller living space. However, these systems can also be installed with multiple indoor units, allowing you to control multiple different climate zones within your home. The other benefit of ductless splits is that they don’t make use of ductwork to circulate air. This makes them a viable option for many cramped or otherwise awkward spaces that would be hard to reach with ducts.
Packaged Air Conditioning Systems
If you already have ducts installed, however, or if your home is large enough, you may be happier with a packaged air conditioning system. These systems also include an outdoor compressor, but it actually circulates cooled air directly through the duct system of your home. Packaged air conditioning systems are quite effective for moderate to large homes, and they are particularly cost effective if they’re installed as part of new construction.
Central Air Conditioning Systems
For a larger space, a central air conditioning system may be what you need. These are typically found in larger homes in the Bergen County, NJ, the surrounding areas, and Rockland County, NY. DB Heating & Cooling, Inc. offers a variety of the top models of central air conditioning systems and our technicians have the skills and experience to install them properly and efficiently.
So no matter what type of system it is you’re looking for, feel free to give us a call today. We’ll be glad to discuss your options with you and let you know how we can take care of all of your air conditioning system installation needs.
